Connector permissions
Overview
Content brought into Interact by a connector is access-controlled separately from native intranet content. Access is governed by external identities that associate each user with the documents they are allowed to see, so search only ever returns synchronised content a user is permitted to view.
External identities
Permissioned access to synchronised external content is managed via external identities associated with individual users and documents.
A synchronised user can have any number of external identities. These external identities are used automatically within search queries, so a user only sees content that has the same external identities associated with it.
Power Users
Synchronised content is not automatically visible to Power Users. This differs from other content within Interact, which is currently visible to all Power Users.
For connector-synchronised data, being a Power User does not give you access to any synchronised external content that you do not have access to based on your own synchronised external identities. During impersonation, you do not see any external content.
