About Interact

Learn what the Interact platform does, who builds it, and where to find the main Interact website.

Overview

Interact is an employee experience platform built around an intranet. It brings internal communications, the tools people use day to day, and the knowledge they need into one place, so employees can find information and reach each other without moving between systems.

The platform is designed for organisations whose workforce is spread across offices, frontline sites and locations without desks, and often across several countries. These documentation pages cover the parts of the platform that administrators configure and developers build on.

What the platform includes

Area What it does
Intranet and content Pages, sections and content delivered according to a person's role, location and permissions.
Frontline app Mobile access for shift-based and deskless employees.
AI features Translation, search and content governance built into the platform.
Internal communications Email newsletters, mandatory reads and digital signage for physical locations.
Recognition Rewards and badges for recognising colleagues.
Feedback Pulse surveys and idea management.

Not every area has a developer-facing API or configuration surface. Where one exists, it is documented in the relevant section of these docs — see Get started with Interact for a tour.

Security and compliance

Interact holds ISO/IEC 27001:2022 and SOC 2 Type 2, along with Cyber Essentials Plus and CSA STAR, and supports GDPR, CCPA and the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

The Interact Trust Centre is the authoritative source for all of this. The summary is open to view; audit reports, policies, penetration test summaries and completed CAIQ and SIG Lite questionnaires are released on request, so register there if a security review needs them.

Configuration you control as an administrator — authentication, transport security and HTTP headers among them — is documented under Platform & security.
