Infor Birst (JDBC)
Before you start
To connect Infor Birst to Interact Advanced Analytics, you need:
- Infor Birst
- The AWS Athena JDBC driver
Interact Advanced Analytics uses AWS Data Lake technologies for data querying, analysis and retrieval.
Overview
The setup largely follows the steps in JDBC connectivity, which covers the JDBC configuration in depth.
The Infor Birst AWS Athena setup is documented in detail in the CData: Athena JDBC and Birst guide.
The Infor Birst AWS Athena documentation does not cover setting the Workgroup, which is a requirement for Interact Advanced Analytics.
Full documentation on the AWS Athena JDBC configuration, including the Workgroup setting, is in the Simba Athena JDBC driver install and configuration guide. The workgroup setting is on page 104.
Ports
Port 443 is used to communicate with the Data Lake, and port 444 is used to stream query results back from the Data Lake to the BI tool. Both ports must be open. See the Athena JDBC driver documentation.
